Go Bird Watching at Allegany State Park
Grab your binoculars and waterbottles and hit the trails at Allegany State Park. The park is home to an incredible variety of birds including 64 different kinds of songbirds! If you're lucky you might see Bald Eagles (threatened), Northern Goshawks, Red-shouldered Hawks, Cooper's Hawks, or Sharp-shinned Hawk (all species of special concern)! The park is also home to a large breeding population of Osprey and one of the largest breeding concentrations of Cerulean Warblers found in New York, both of which are state species of special concern.
