Historic Garden Tour

On Wednesday, July 5, from 10:00 – 11:00 am Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village (BNHV) will host a tour of the gardens housed upon its 35 acre grounds.

On Wednesday, July 5, from 10:00 – 11:00 am Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village (BNHV) will host a tour of the gardens housed upon its 35 acre grounds. The tour has been organized by the Master Gardeners of Erie and Niagara Counties, who curate and maintain the gardens on BNHV’s grounds. The tour will be led by a museum docent, who will present an overview of the historic village and its 11 historic buildings. Master Gardeners will be stationed throughout the site to discuss and interact on stops along the tour. Gardening topics to be covered include: native plants, plant diversity and its role in the ecosystem, natural dye plants and their historic uses, the concept of composting, herbs and their historic uses, Victorian garden design, and popular plants during the Victorian Era.

 

Admission is $8 for Adults, $6 for Seniors, Military, and Children, and FREE for 3 and under. Admission to the Museum and Historic Village is included in the cost of admission.
