*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 03/31/2019
Join us for this family-friendly, hands-on day as we explore all things maple! This is an interactive event that is fun for the whole family! Come for breakfast, stay to learn. Featuring maple science demonstrations and a maple sugar tour covering the history of maple sugaring led by Maple Sugar experts and our oxen, Jack and Flynn. This tour features hands-on, interactive stops such as a 19th century sugar arch, a tree tapping station, maple cooking demonstrations in Elliott House, tasty maple sugar on snow treats, and more. Museum, Farmstead (don’t forget to visit our chickens, sheep, ram, and oxen), and Historic Village will be open with demonstrations by costumed interpreters, the Brewers Guild, the Woodwrights Guild, the Blacksmiths Guild, and the Lace, Quilt and Weavers Guilds.
