Wendell Castle Workshop

Wendell Castle Workshop is a woodworking and metalworking school in the longtime studio of Wendell Castle. Wendell is known as the "Father of the Art Furniture Movement" and has work in museums around the world as well as in private collections. His family started a nonprofit after his passing and opened the school. Our classes run from one to seven days consecutively. You can find beginner to advanced classes at WCW. We recently invested in equipment in order to offer blacksmithing, metal welding (forming and MiG welding), and bladesmithing.

New York Museum of Transportation

The New York Museum of Transportation is unique among Western New York's museums. In Rush, just 20 minutes from Rochester, the museum features vintage trolley cars, highway and horse-drawn vehicles, a steam locomotive, several model railroads, photos, exhibits, gallery, and gift shop. Relive holiday memories with the Midtown Plaza Monorail on display! Rides are included with admission on the only electric trolley line in New York State. No reservations needed except for certain special events. Open Sundays only.
