Buffalo Black History Tours

Join us for a tour that shares the histories of individuals who fought for the abolition of slavery and equality of African Americans. Learn about how William Wells Brown help enslaved people escape to Canada. Enjoy a beautiful painting of Mary Talbert while learning about her many achievements, including her involvement in the Pan-American Exposition. Docents will share these and many more stories. A few select items from the collections will be on display and will be included in the tour. Tickets for the tour are $15/$12 for members and can be reserved in advance.

Cavalcade of Cars: Indoor Custom Auto and Motorcycle Show at the EC Fairgrounds

Kids 12 and under FREE. Western New York's Hottest Indoor Car shows, which are held every year in Hamburg and Syracuse NY. And is also known as the thru-way series. Cavalcade of Cars continues to be an organization that combines the love of classic vehicles with the desire to be an integral part of the community. Since our inception, we are proud to say that we have raised over $100K for local charities including $10000 which has gone to the Buffalo Autism Project and Syracuse Families First (Autism Treatment of CNY) in the past years. Our mission is to provide a high-quality indoor show for all Automotive and Motorcycle enthusiasts to enjoy while continuing to support the charitable organizations located within the community. Giving back, and having a great time doing it, is what we are all about.

Blue Nose Winter Tours at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park

The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park may be closed for the winter, but we are offering a NEW series of guided tours to welcome visitors on board. Join us for a Blue Nose Winter Tour on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The term “Blue Nose” is a Navy tradition that recognizes sailors who cross the Arctic Circle, and our ships have all crossed the Arctic Circle at some point during their service. We will offer our standard Docent-led tour of the Naval Park in the morning, and a specialty tour each afternoon. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. The Buffalo Naval Park reserves the right to close the ships to visitors for safety concerns. If there is a cancellation due to weather conditions or safety issues, you will be notified and a refund will be issued.

A Taste of Ireland at the Performing Arts Center

Return to the Rainbow City Tour at the Buffalo History Museum

Enjoy a tour of our new Pan-American Exposition inside the Museum’s State Court. “Return to the Rainbow City: Buffalo’s Pan-American Exposition,” recounts the story of the fair—its planning, construction, and legacy—and features a variety of Pan-Am artifacts, paintings, and photographs. The display includes nearly 100 Pan-Am keepsakes – from cups and mugs to paperweights and playing cards – that souvenir manufacturers created for the fair. Learn about the exhibits, the shows, and the people that drew 8 million visitors to our city. Investigate the attractions and turn-of-the-century innovations that still impact Buffalo today. The tour lasts one hour, costs $13 ($7 for members) and includes a souvenir map guide.
