Make the most of the winter weather! Orienteering is a sport in which a map is used to navigate a course; it can be done solo but is also a great family activity! This event is a Score-O format lasting 90 minutes (1.5 hours), in which numerous controls are placed throughout the park. Check in between 11 AM and noon at Shea’s Seneca, located a couple of blocks from the park at 2188 Seneca St, Buffalo, NY 14210, with course start at noon. Use skis, snowshoes, or boots or shoes to locate as many controls as you desire in any order within the time limit; participants must return to the finish by 1:30 PM. It is a great format for hard-core competitors who might finish in less than the allotted time and for casual hikers who will enjoy the extra time.
