Eternal Flame Trail Hike
Come Join a Park Ranger and hike the world-renowned Eternal Flame Trail at Chestnut Ridge Park. This will be a fun-filled educational hike that will take you to the natural phenomenon known as the Eternal Flame! Learn about hemlock forests, local wildlife and more! Meeting Location: Eternal Flame Parking area off of Route 277

- Duration: 1 – 1.5 hrs
- Elevation: Approximately 200 feet of elevation change; steep in areas
- Distance: 1.12 miles
- Surface Description: Mud/dirt/roots/water; this trail is very wooded and a portion of the hike will be within the creek
- Equipment Needed: Sturdy waterproof shoes (or shoes you won’t mind getting wet) & drinking water
- Optional – Hiking poles
- Equipment Other: This event and area is dog friendly (on a leash); this hike is not stroller or wheelchair accessible
