More info-
- Our Free Studio Art Classes are based on student led instruction, with the guidance of our paid Teaching Artists. Everyone works on their own project, ideas and goals; no one's work looks the same! The class is not told what to create but instead the instructor will meet with each student individually throughout the class period. Asking questions is always beneficial to the learning process.
- Enrollment is on-going throughout the year and does not close. We do not email you to schedule into a class, they are drop in so you can come whenever we are open!
- Our class times are set to offer flexibilty around work, school and busy lives. Keep in mind, on Saturdays, LSA is open from 1 to 5 but your young artist will only need 1-2 hours max. You don't have to come every week, come whenever you can. You may also come multiple times per week if you wish.
- Materials are provided and distributed at the instructors discretion. For example you may be asked to use sketch paper to plan you idea before being given more expensive paper to help limit waste. You may also bring in your own supplies.
- Visual art classes often have lengthy processes, especially ceramics, please expect to come often over a few weeks to have a finished project.
- Visit our FAQ page for more in depth information on our FREE Classes.
- These classes are FREE! However, we can always use a little help from our friends, visit our contribution page to find out how you can support.
Our Free Classes run in the Fall and Spring, opposite these we run low cost workshops and camps to help raise money for the free classes.
