Since 1841 residents of Pennsylvania, and the world, have turned their attention to a small creature with a big job, predicting the weather! Punxsutawney Phil, the iconic groundhog, peaks out of his hole on February 2 and we all await the results. This year, join us on February 3 to learn more about groundhogs, shadows, and the history behind the tradition of Groundhogs Day. The Nature center building and trails will be open for independent groundhog hunts and hikes from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Visit the staff and volunteers inside the building to create your own sundial and make shadow puppets.
