Meet The Author & Birding Hike

Meet children’s author Amy Ludwig VanDerwater followed by a birding nature walk at Beaver Meadow Nature Center. Read "Every Day Birds" with the author, learn about birds, and then join us on a birding hike! Binoculars will be will be provided.

We're combining nature and literature for a fun and unique adventure.
Buffalo Audubon Society & Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve are partnering with children’s author Amy Ludwig VanDerwater (author of If This Bird Had Pockets and featured story for this event Every Day Birds) to host a Meet The Author event. Amy will read her book and answer questions, and then Naturalist Shelby Green will lead a birding nature walk at Beaver Meadow. We will even provide binoculars to get an up-close look at the birds we find! Families and children of all ages are welcome.
