You sing, you play an instrument, but you need more! Let's get some skills in understanding HOW music works. Peek behind the curtain and get real with Music Theory Basics.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Six short sessions in Music Theory Basics - all on zoom.com   You will learn the difference among quarter, half, whole and eighth notes and rests; how to count rhythm accurately; how to build a major scale on any given tone; the names of every line and space on a grand staff (there's a cheerleading chant that you'll never forget!); why sharps and flats matter; the meaning of all words and symbols on a music score; how to receognize key signatures and know why they're important.  Join people from all over the country!  Sure, there's homework, but you don't have to do it. This isn't a class in school or college.  No tests, no pressure.  Just learn as much as you want to!  Your life, your learning!  The price is flexible. You pay what fits your life. Below, it says $25, but when you visit the website, you'll see the flexibility.  Please register through the website!  I look forward to zooming into Music Theory with you!
