New Kid (For Ages 8+)

At some point, every one of us has been the new kid. After Moving from Homeland to the United States, Nick and his family are settling into a new way of life. Starting in a new school, Nick's hopes of making new friends vanish after his classmates make fun of his clothes, lunch, and his confusion about almost everything. Worst of all, Nick doesn't speak the language. , The play immediately puts us into Nick's shoes using a clever theatrical approach: Nick and his family speak English, while all the other students speak gibberish. New Kid explores the issues of moving to a new place and being the outsider. Embark on a special journey with Nick and his family as they try to settle into their new life.
