Orienteering Learn and Practice at Chestnut Ridge
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/29/2023
Thursday, June 29, 6pm: Looking for a new way to have fun outdoors? Learn orienteering, a great outdoor activity for the whole family! Brush up on your map skills while hiking through our beautiful WNY parks.
Orienteering is a sport in which a map is used to navigate a course; it can be done solo but is also a great family activity! The Buffalo Orienteering Club is holding a "Learn & Practice" event at Chestnut Ridge Park on Thursday, June 29th at 6:00pm. Cost is $5 for non-members and pre-registration is required by Wednesday, June 28. This is a great opportunity to learn how to read a topographic map, learn basic compass skills, and navigate a beginner orienteering course.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
