ROC Against Cancer

ROC Against Cancer is a free, family-friendly community event designed to strengthen community connections and promote cancer prevention, routine screenings, nutrition, physical activity, mental wellness, and overall health. The event will feature mobile health screenings, food, music, wellness activities, children’s activities, and information from local health and community organizations.
As an additional benefit, attendees will receive a 50% off coupon to The Strong National Museum of Play

This event aims to strengthen community connections and provide information on preventive care, emphasizing the importance of routine cancer screenings and other aspects of health (nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and more).
We are proud to partner with Ibero American Action League, the Urban League of Rochester, and Common Ground Health to offer:
- Mobile health screenings by University of Rochester Medicine Mobile Mammography (to schedule, call (585) 273-5661 or visit https://urmed.info/4wO8du2), Trillium Mobile Clinic, and St. Joseph's Neighborhood Mobile Outreach and Engagement
- Food from the Foodlink Mobile Pantry and Wandering Grounds Coffee
- Entertainment from Poder 97.1 FM Radio's DJ Mambo
- Activities including yoga, zumba, face painting, and fire truck tours for kids with a Rochester Fire Department Engine
- Info from community organizations, including the Center for Community Health & Prevention, Cancer Services Program of the Finger Lakes, AMR ambulance services, 13thirty Cancer Connect, Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club, URochester Medicine Lung Cancer Screening Program, and hands-only CPR training, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Jordan Health.
