Brought to you by Gateway Longview and New Directions Youth & Family Services

When: Registration opens July 24th

Event participation runs from August 1st-31st

Where: Virtual. Please visit stepupchallenge.org

Who: All are welcome to participate in the Step Up for Mental Health Challenge brought to you by Gateway Longview and New Directions Youth and Family Services.

Why: Are you interested in raising awareness for mental health and the challenges people struggling with their mental health face? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of over 10,000 Western New York children and families? Do you like taking part in community building events? Then this challenge is the one for you!

How does it work?

Participants will join the peer-to-peer fundraising challenge by creating a page on the campaign platform and ask friends and family to support your mental health challenge by donating to support Gateway Longview and New Directions. Complete FIVE activities each week. Share your completed challenges, stories, pictures, and videos all month while you STEP UP, prioritizing mental health and wellness. You can even create a team inviting family and friends to join you in challenges while raising money for programs that families depend on. Set a goal! The more you raise, the more chances you will have to win great prizes!

Physical Challenges - climb the lighthouse at Canalside, bike along the waterfront, attend a yoga class, take a walk on your lunch hour with co-workers or walk a pet. The possibilities are everywhere!

Non-Physical Challenges - Mental health can be improved without lacing up your sneakers! Journaling, attending a painting class, cooking a new recipe, attending a concert, a family picnic in a park, meditation, and gardening do wonders for your mental health.

Proceeds benefit more than 10,000 children and families who receive support from Gateway Longview and New Directions Youth & Family Services.

Registration opens on July 24th, 2023.  To register, please visit: www.stepupchallenge.org
