The Buffalo History Museum’s annual family event, “Train Day,” is a popular museum family day festivity that includes a tour of the 1900s replica model trains, artifact scavenger hunts, train-themed crafts, and new this year, letters to Santa for “train delivery.”  Live music by Rail Barons Band is also featured.

The impressive train display includes 1900s replica model trains running on more than 200 feet of track, as well as a scale Erie Canal lock, and 100 miniature buildings portraying 19th century Buffalo and Western New York.

Members free, museum admission

The train display is located in the lower level of the Museum.

Trains will continue to run Sat & Sun and select dates until Jan 3. See calendar.

Admission also includes access to all the museum’s current exhibits: Inside Tim Russert’s Office, Quilts, The John R. Oishei Native American and Pioneer Galleries, Neighbors, and The Community Gallery.
