Discover how animals as well as people connect with nature to find food, water, shelter, and more! We’ll pretend to travel back in time, go camping, and become wild things while learning new skills through crafts, games, and fun hands-on activities.

WILD THINGS Camp

Discover how animals as well as people connect with nature to find food, water, shelter, and more! We’ll pretend to travel back in time, go camping, and become wild things while learning new skills through crafts, games, and fun hands-on activities in Tifft’s great outdoors!

Ages: 5-8 Explorers (must have completed Kindergarten)

Date: M - F

Time: 9am – 4pm

Price: $210 non-members. BMS members save 10%

Afternoon snack provided. Please bring a water bottle, morning snack and lunch in a reusable container. Late pick-up arrangements must be reserved at time of pre-registration: 4:30-5:30PM at $5 per half hour, per day.

Tifft Nature Preserve Discovery Day Camps provide high quality experiences in a unique and accessible setting with professional and caring staff. We maintain a low camper to facilitator ratio to ensure your child receives the ideal experience. Our camps focus on active, outdoor exploration (we hike every day!) and structured hands-on science education balanced with free play, creative outlets, teamwork, and building social skills. Please contact our staff or stop by for a visit at our Visitor Center to learn  more! Summer Camp Open House is Sunday, April 3rd from 12-4PM.

Tifft Nature Preserve is a 264 acre wildlife refuge at the Outer Harbor providing year-round educational programming, outdoor recreation, and environmental conservation. It is operated by the Buffalo Museum of Science and features five miles of beautiful trails, diverse habitats, and expanding Visitor Center.
